The Homework Help Center is open during the school year and offers help with homework at no charge to students in 1st-6th grades. Parents must register students at the Library. Registration forms are available at the Youth Services Desk. Volunteers aged 16 to adult, especially those bilingual in English/Spanish and English/Vietnamese, are needed for the Homework Help Center.

Prevention of crime through proactive measures and in partnership with our citizens is of the utmost importance to the Watauga Police Department. The Watauga Police Department’s Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) program may encompass any present or future activities or organizations (Citizens’ Police Academy Alumni Association, Neighborhood Watch, Explorer Post, etc.) whose volunteers work in partnership with the Department to provide some level of service toward the welfare of the community.
